Hanging my Art Quilts and Fiber Art is pretty easy. You’ll see a hanging sleeve on the back of the work. It’s designed to use a slat or dowel to make hanging easy.
You’ll need a sturdy dowel or a slat with eye screws in the ends.
Slide a sturdy dowel or slat with eye screws installed on each end through the hanging sleeve so the eyes crews show on either end.
I prefer to use two finishing nails on the wall positioned and leveled so the eye screws slip onto them. This allows the work to hang more vertical, which I prefer.
You can add hanging wire stretched between the eye screws after the stick is installed in the hanging sleeve to create a more painting-like hanging situation. The only down-side to that is that sometimes that can cause the upper edge of the artwork to tip forward just like the top edge of a painting will do.
