What comes after Death
Shakes the leaves from your Tree?
Can you still stand
When your love Departs?
What remains will you Find
Among the fields of Grief
You cannot but tread?

My Thoughts on the Work
The experience of Grief is ancient. Endings give us space to reflect. That’s sometimes painful and sometimes joyous. There are things you just couldn’t see while your loved one was with you that once they’re gone you suddenly see or see differently. There are things you’ll never experience again, for better or for worse. It’s a strange, unique, and yet somehow universal experience, grieving the loss of a loved one. Death leaves a hole, but it also helps you find ways to fill that space if you let it.
